FC Barcelona 2023/24 gets under way

The Ciutat Esportiva started returning to normal on Monday 10 July. The first 26 members of Xavi Hernández's squad reported back for duty and took their routine medical examinations and fitness tests, ready to begin training for the upcoming season.

On a stiflingly hot morning and all fresh back from their summer break, Balde, Dest, Eric, Ferran, Iñaki Peña, Íñigo Martínez, Lenglet, Marcos Alonso, Nico González, Pablo Torre, Pedri, Ronald Araujo, Raphinha and Sergi Roberto were all there.

They were joined by Barça Atlètic and U19A players Alarcón, Cubarsí, Diego Kochen, Estanis, Faye, Fermín López, Héctor Fort, Lamine Yamal, Marc Casadó, Marc Guiu, Pau Prim and Unai Hernández. 

Cardiology studies, weight and body composition tests, podology, blood and urine analysis, effort tests and more waited the players on their first day back at work.

This afternoon they will be training for the first time. The immediate goal is to be ready in time for the upcoming US Tour, which starts on July 19.
