Jaime Gallego joins Barça until 2025

FC Barcelona and Bathco BM Torrelavega have reached an agreement for the arrivial of pivot Jaime Gallego. The 21 year old signs a contract until the summer of 2025 and is a player with a great future ahead of him. The player from Madrid spent most of last season recovering from a knee injury after making his debut for the Spanish national side at the age of just 20. 

The pivot is almost 2 metres tall and stands out for his physical presence and his ability in both attack and defence. In the 2021/22 season in the Asobal League he scored 71 goals in 30 matches for Bathco Torrelavega.

The new blaugrana could not hide his excitement on his arrival in Barcelona: "Any kid who plays handball dreams of playing for Barça. It is the best team in the world. For me it is dream come true and a great challenge." 

Gallego was keen to stress his desire to improve: "I am really happy, very excited. Last season in Torrelavega I was able to make my debut with the national side  and it was incredible. Now I am proud and happy to move on to a new phase of my career."
