Erick Mendonça joins futsal squad

Erick Mendonça, a 27-year-old Portuguese international is Barça’s first futsal signing of the 2023/24 season. The left-footer is a primarily defensive player who can perform as both a winger or sweeper. Not only is he extremely versatile but he’s also extremely competitive. He arrives as a free agent after ending his contract with Sporting Club de Portugal and has joined Barça for three season, through to the end of June 2026.

Erick is a world and European champion with Portugal, and has also won no fewer than 16 major trophies at club level, including two 2 Champions Leagues and 3 Portuguese championships in the last three years. He started out at Quinta dos Lombos before becoming part of the Sporting youth structure. He also played pro futsal for the aforesaid Quinta dos Lombos as well as Fundao.
