Ona Batlle joins Barça after finishing contract at Manchester United

Ona Batlle is FC Barcelona's first recruit for the 2023/24 season. The full back from Vilassar de Mar in Catalonia has signed a contract with the Club until 30 June 2026. The La Masia product put pen to paper in the Presidential Office at Spotify Camp Nou and then donned the blaugrana shirt once again at the Estadi Johan Cruyff. 

24 years old, Ona Batlle is a product of the Barça youth system at La Masia. She arrived as a 12 year old in 2011 and quickly passed through the various age categories before winning the Second Division title with Barça B. The defender then moved on to Madrid CFF (2017/18), Levante (2018-2020) before spending the last three seasons with Manchester United where she has just finished her contract. 

Predominantly a right back, Batlle is technical gifted and versatile enough to play at left back too. The defender has been named on the 30 player long list for Spain for the July's Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
