Spotify Camp Nou Awards now have winners
The day has come. Spotify Camp Nou will host its final game this Sunday after 66 years, Barça v Mallorca in La Liga, before closing for refurbishment with the first team moving to play from next season at Montjuïc.
To celebrate the stadium's history, the biggest in Europe, the Club website began a series of surveys on Tuesday this week in which fans from around the world could vote for the best game, goal, mosaic, celebration and moment from the 66 years of Spotify Camp Nou.
Finally, we have the five winners:
Messi and the 6-1 against PSG, among the winners
In the 'Best goal' category, Leo Messi's strike from 2007 against Getafe was the winner. His unforgettable run and finish was considered the finest ever scored at Spotify Camp Nou.
'Best game' went to the 6-1 win over PSG on 8 March 2017. Barça overturned a 4-0 deficit from the first leg in the Champions League to create on one of the most memorable European nights in Spotify Camp Nou history.
The survey on Thursday was for 'Best Mosaic', an award given to the 'Thanks, Johan' that was shown at Spotify Camp Nou on 2 April 206 after Dutch legend passed away.
'Best celebration' went to the trio of Messi-Suárez-Neymar and the famous photograph after a goal against Atlético Madrid. That iconic moment pipped another famous image, that of Messi after the comeback against PSG, the Argentine's first goal for Barça against Albacete, and Pizzi's famous celebration in the Copa del Rey against Atlético.
The final award for the 'Best Moment' was all about some of the best memories of Spotify Camp Nou that fans had posted on social networks, and the winner was the men's and women's teams parading their trophies won in the 2022/23 season, when they departed from the stadium on two open top buses through the city centre streets.
