Spotify takes GLOW project to Barça v Real Sociedad as a platform for artists from the LGTBQIA+ community

FC Barcelona’s Main Partner invites to Spotify Camp Nou creators and singers to raise awareness of their work among a broader audience

The Spotify GLOW project is coming to Barcelona on the occasion of the Barça v Real Sociedad match on Saturday. This initiative, set up in early 2023 by FC Barcelona’s Main Partner, aims to give a greater voice and influence to the community of LGBTQIA+ artists and to celebrate the message and major impact of their music and culture on our society.

This ‘always-on’ program develops a wide variety of awareness actions and this Saturday is coming to Spotify Camp Nou to push the message that football and music become even more valuable communities the more diverse the people in them are.

Spotify has invited various artists from the community to the Barça v Real Sociedad game, who will not only be enjoying the match but will also be helping to record content for the Barça and Spotify social networks and will be appearing on the club’s YouTube show, “Barça Live”. Also, during the game, the LED screens around the pitch will be showing the image of the GLOW project and the artists belonging to it.

With the support of FC Barcelona

Spanish artists whose presence has been confirmed include urban musician, Safree; singer-producer, Gala Nell; Malagan singer, María Peláe; the participant at the 2023 Benidorm Fest, Agoney; and Spain’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, Blas Cantó. International artists include Swedish singer and model, Andreas Wijk; and Italian composer, Sans Soucis.

This is all happening at the start of LGBTQIA+ Pride month, and has the full support of FC Barcelona, through its Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Department, being a further example of Barça and Spotify’s commitment to fostering a change of culture towards a more plural and diverse society.
