Barça 3-0 Xota: Another step forward
Another three points in the Palau. The Barça futsal team picked a vital win in their attempts to secure first place in the regular season in the league, beating Xota 3-0 at home thanks to goals from Ferrao, Dyego and Adolfo.
The blaugranes are now top of the table, one point ahead of Palma Futsal who have played one game more and Jesús Velasco's team need just six more points to secure top spot with their next game against Cartagena next Saturday.
Ferrao opens the scoring
Barça knew from the outset that this was a must win game and Adolfo struck the post in the very first minute. The blaugranes went close again through Matheus before Ferrao gave them the lead on 12 minutes after good work from Catela and then Dyego.
Ortiz struck the bar and Adolfo and Ferrao went close to adding a second but the scoreline did not budge in the first half with Barça leading 1-0 at half time.
Second half confirmation
In the second half Barça keeper Dídac was forced into a couple of good save to keep the side from Pamplona at bay. However, their spirit was broken when on 22 minutes Dyego made it 2-0 with a typically clever finish. Xota tried to react but a late goal from Adolfo sealed the win for the blaugranes and moved them ever closer to clinching top spot in the regular season.
