Real Unión 0-1 Barça Atlètic: Last gasp victory
Barça Atlètic stretched their unbeaten run to six matches in the Primera RFEF thanks to a 1-0 win over Real Unión in Irun in the Basque Country. A goal from Pocho Román in added time at the end of the second half was enough for all three points and a third away win of the season in the league.
Tight first half
The opening 45 minutes were closely fought with both teams having chances to open the scoring. The blaugranes caused problems down the wings with Luismi Cruz and Estanis with both coming close in the first half.
For Real Unión Nacho Sánchez forced Barça keeper Arnau Tenas into a good save on two occasions before the break.
Late goal
In the second half the blaugranes came out fired and went close twice early on with Álvaro Núnez and then Estanis again threatening, the latter Barça's biggest threat going forward.
The best chance, however, fell to Real Unión when Rivero blasted over the bar when he was clean through. Just when it seemed that the teams were destined to share the points, Pocho Román scored his first goal for Barça in injury time. The Argentinian picked up a long ball from the back and finished coolly to hand Barça all three points.
