BIHUB and Bimbo Group join forces to promote healthy habits through the use of technology
The Barça Innovation Hub, the club's research, knowledge and innovation platform, has signed an agreement with the Bimbo Group to promote a positive impact and healthy habits through the use of technology. The deal also makes Bimbo a Main Partner of the Sports Tomorrow Congress, which BIHUB is organising as part of this year's Mobile World Congress.
The arrangement further enhances the relationship between Bimbo and Barça, after it was announced last October that the world's biggest bakery company would be becoming a Global Partner of FC Barcelona and the Main Partner of the women's football team.
The two parties wish for their partnership to foster a positive impact on society, and the aim here is to contribute to people's well-being and help to create a better and more sustainable environment. They will be working together to explore new ways to encourage healthy living and a balanced diet by combining Bimbo's experience in the food industry with the knowledge that Barça Innovation Hub has to offer in the field of science and technology.
On the occasion of the official presentation of Bimbo as a sponsor of BIHUB the Champions Sandwich is being launched, the joint creation of nutrition experts from FC Barcelona and Bimbo.
The sandwich has been especially designed to offer balanced eating for doing sport.

BIHUB and knowledge transfer
Barça Innovation Hub was created on 27 March 2017 as a platform to centralise the club's efforts with regard to innovation, scientific research, and knowledge transfer. This declaration of principles is yet another reason with FC Barcelona is 'More than a Club', and six years on, BIHUB is now a benchmark for innovation and knowledge in different areas of the sports industry. In this time, it has developed about 50 research projects, five start-ups and more than 16,000 professionals from 135 countries have taken its online postgraduate courses on the sports industry.
