Bilbao Athletic 1-1 Barça Atlètic: Second draw in a row
Second draw in a row for Barça Atlètic. Rafa Márquez are now winless in four after the 1-1 result away to Bilbao Athletic. Víctor Barberà grabbed the equaliser at a tough ground where the Basque side have won 13 of their 19 points.
Poor start
Not a great start for Rafa Márquez' men, as they went one down in the 10th minute, Mikel Goti scoring a left footed shot for the Basque side from inside the area. The Catalans weren't cowed, however, and began to control the game without creating any real danger, halftime 1-0.
Barberà grabs the equaliser
Barça were much more accurate in attack after the break and didn't take long to tie the game. Estanis Pedrola shot over the bar after a bit of individual brillance, before Barberà scored after 57 minutes, his shot hitting the woodwork twice before going in.
The attacks kept coming but the home side defence stood firm, which was the pattern for the rest of the game, as Bilbao Athletic appeared to be protecting their point and playing on the counter. Juanda Fuentes went close in the final minute, but it ended 1-1.
Next up, Barça Atlètic host Alcoyano at the Estadi Johan Cruyff on 25 February.
