Álvaro Sanz transferred to CD Mirandés
FC Barcelona and CD Mirandés have reached an agreement on the transfer of Álvaro Sanz. The Catalan club retains 45% of the rights to the player.
Seven and half years in blaugrana
Álvaro Sanz joined Barça in 2015 from the Real Zaragoza youth system and rose through the ranks to the reserve team in 2020/21. The midfielder born in Caspe played an important role at right back before being moved back into his natural midfield position, where he became fourth captain. Playing both in a central and wide position, he became third captain this season. He's played a total of 59 games over the years, scoring three goals and giving the same number of assists.
First team debut
On 2 January 2022 his good form was rewarded with his first senior appearance in a 1-0 win at Mallorca. He played two league and one Copa del Rey fixtures, and this season got to make his Champions League debut in a 4-2 win at Viktoria Plzen.
CD Mirandés play in the second division, known as LaLiga Smartbank.
