FC Barcelona and Sebang Global Battery renew partnership for a further three years
FC Barcelona and Sebang Global Battery have renewed their partnership agreement for an additional three years. The Korean car battery manufacturer will remain a regional partner of the Club, with exclusivity as the official car battery of FC Barcelona in Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia for an additional 3 seasons.
The partnership extension marks a 6 year long term relationship between SEBANG and FC Barcelona and reaffirms the strong relationship forged by the Club’s Asia Pacific regional headquarters in Hong Kong since the signing the original deal in 2019. Under the extended agreement SEBANG added Thailand as a new market thanks to the Club’s demonstrable contribution to business growth in other key Southeast Asian markets over the past 3 seasons.
The Club has worked closely with SEBANG over the past years on a number of projects, which includes delivering surprise gift boxes to disadvantaged children in South Korea before Christmas containing a letter from the first team, a Barça shirt, a signed ball and a pair of football boots. During COVID, SEBANG offered a live streaming stadium tour to give fans in South Korea and Malaysia the chance to experience Camp Nou, including exclusive views of the first team locker room.
Starting from the 2022/23 season, SEBANG will start hosting Barça Academy camps and company events for the first time. Leading by Barça Academy Technical Director, the addition of Barça Academy collaboration will provide fans in these territories first-hand experience with Barça football philosophy and methodology, and further strengthen the partnership through greater brand visibility on FC Barcelona channels as well as collaborating on co-branded content to better engage with more than 16 million Culers across Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia.
