Tribute to David Villa prior to game with Valencia

David Villa was the subject of an emotional tribute prior to game between Valencia and Barça on Saturday night at Mestalla. As part of the event, FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta presented the former player for both clubs with a commemorative shirt with the number 7 and his name on the back.

A huge image of the player was unveiled outside the stadium, who also took the honorary kick-off. Villa played fro Spain from 2010 to 2013, scoring 48 goals and winning a number of major honours, including one Champions League, one Copa del Rey and two Ligas.
