Lewandowski features on new Spotify Camp Nou façade
Robert Lewandowski now features on the Spotify Camp Nou mural, together with men's and women's football stars Pedri, María León, Ansu Fati, Alexia Putellas and Aitana Bonmatí.
The player who signed last July replaces Pierre-Emerick Aubemayang in the picture after the latter departed for Chelsea.
The mural was placed last July 1 after the partnership was signed with audio streaming platform Spotify. The goal of the new deal is to unite two areas that arouse such passion, namely football and music, to create new forms of entertainment to revolutionise fan experiences and offer a single platform to connect athletes and artists with their followers all around the world.
Strategic partnership
Through the agreement between Barça and Spotify, the first of such a nature for the club, not only will the sponsor's name be appearing on the front of the men's and women's football shirts, but the Swedish firm also gains long-term title rights to the stadium. From July 1 onwards, the Spotify is being associated to the complete overhaul of the Camp Nou premises as part of the Espai Barça project. FC Barcelona's new-look stadium will be able to offer a whole new world class entertainment experience, and one which will be open to the city of Barcelona.
Spotify will also be present inside the stadium, including on the seats, team benches and other pitch-side assets. When the rebuilding work is complete, Spotify will be gaining further presence in a venue that is the cornerstone for the club's future.
Other places where Spotify will be featuring include advertising panels in the pressroom and mixed zone, and at other sporting and institutional activities taking place both in the main football stadium and the Estadi Johan Cruyff.
Spotify also gains association with Barça Academy, the core area for developing and promoting talent and the team's unique style of football. The company's name will appear on the shirts of the Pro Academy, nurseries for some of the most promising male and female footballers on an international scale.
In the digital realm, Spotify will also feature in audiovisual contents created from training sessions and which are posted and promoted on the club's social media.
