Vicenç Martínez
A natural goalscorer, Vicenç Martínez (Barcelona, 1896 – Barcelona, 1963) was a first choice striker for almost a decade
Known as Cabecita (Little Boss), Martínez was the typical forward who lived for goals. He was extraordinarily committed to the cause and was famed for his opportunistic character in front of goal.
In the 1920s, he was part of one of the most lethal forward lines ever to grace FC Barcelona, with Gràcia and Alcántara on either side and Piera and Sagi out wide.
The club held a testimonial for him at Carrer Industria on 13 October 1918 when he was still a player, and a second at Les Corts on 17 June 1923 after he hung up his boots.
