Sporting CP 6-3 FC Barcelona: Insufficient reaction
Barça have lost their first game in the Record International Masters Futsal against Sporting CP of Portugal. Things got off to the worst of starts as Sporting scored six goals in the first 23 minutes. Sergio Lozano scored a hat-trick as the Catalans sought to make amends, but mounting a comeback was simply impossible.
André Coelho missed the game as a precautionary measure due to an ankle injury, but Dyego is over a stomach issue and was able to come on in the second half. Ferrao took a nasty knock in the ribs after 15 minutes, and the sensible option was to take him off.
Sporting also won the penalty shootout to be used as a potential tie-breaker.
Barça take on Benfica in the second and final game on Sunday.
