José Vicente Sánchez
Tente Sánchez (Barcelona, 1956) had an exemplary career at Barça which led him to be club captain
A model of self sacrifice, Tente Sánchez came to the Barça first team from the youth set up in the 1975/76 season under German coach Hennes Weisweiler, although it was under Laureano Ruiz that he became a regular in the starting XI. A midfielder who could also player as a right back, Sánchez stood out due to his hard work and his technical ability.
His most remembered goal is without doubt the strike that opened the scoring in the final of the European Cup Winners Cup against Fortuna Düsseldorf in 1979, a game Barça went on to win 4-3.
