Thank you to the 91,062

The best crowd at the stadium for a men's game since December 2019 contributed to a successful and entertaining day

A total of 91,062 people attended Spotify Camp Nou with the aim of raising money for research into ALS, motor neurone disease, a neurodegenerative disease that currently has no cure. An initiative led by former Barça player and coaching staff member Juan Carlos Unzué, who was diagnosed with the disease two years ago saw the biggest crowd at men's game since December 2019 when 93,426 fans attended a Clásico between Barça and Real Madrid.

The funds raised from the game will go to the Luzón Foundation, an organisation working towards finding a cure for ALS. The foundation is in the process of validatin the money raised via different sources, the sale of tickets, row 0 donations, merchandising and TV rights. The game was broadcast in more than 140 countries and donations can still be via the Luzón Foundation.

In the next few days the amount of money raised will be announced and passed on to the Luzón Foundation.

At the end of the game FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta showed himself to be very satisfied with the days' work: "I want to thank the fans that shown their commitment and to Manchester City. I am very emotional. Barça have shown once again why we are more than a club. What Juan Carlos Unzué does is exemplary: his inner strength and fighting spirit transmit joy and hope. We have to reply to that and that the law relating to ALS that Juan Carlos Unzué is pushing for can be passed and be made a reality."
