Eduard Manchón
Manchón (Barcelona, 1930 – Barcelona, 2010) was a vital member of the legendary 'Five Cups' team
Manchón was the final component of the legendary Barça forward line from the beginning of the 1950s immortalised in song by singer Joan Manuel Serrat in song. A left winger of exceptional class, he stood out due to his great speed and he was a specialist in taking players on. His partnership with Kubala was perfect; the cries of 'Manchón!' from the Hungarian star to his team mates often preceded Barça's best moments in attack.
In 1998 at Coma-ruga a beach tournament in his name was created in which he participated until 2008. He holds the record with the Barça Veterans, playing for them at the age of 78.
