Agreement with Watford Football Club for transfer of Rey Manaj

FC Barcelona and Watford Football Club have reached an agreement for the transfer of Rey Manaj. FC Barcelona reserves a right of first refusal and 50% of any future sale.

Rey Aldo Manaj was born on 24 February 1997 in Lushnjë, Albania, and joined FC Barcelona on 20 January 2020 to form part of Barça B after previously being at Granada and Albacete. In his first full season with the reserves, he was the top goalscorer with 14 goals in 22 games.

In the summer of 2021 he spent the preseason with the first team and scored four goals in just 117 minutes. Then on August 31 of the same year he went on loan to Spezia Calcio in Serie A. With five goals and two assists in 19 partits, Rey Manaj helped the team managed by former Barça player Thiago Motta to hold on to their place in the Italian top flight
