The 2022/23 preseason is officially under way! On Monday morning, Xavi Hernández and his team were back at FC Barcelona for their routine medicals following the summer break.

23 members of the senior team and of Barça Atlètic reported bright and early to the Ciutat Esportiva for the various tests: Ter Stegen, Dest, Piqué, Riqui Puig, Ansu Fati, Neto, Nico, Pedri, S. Roberto, Aubameyang, Collado, Trincao, Pjanic, Iñaki Peña, Balde, Abde, I. Akhomach, Mika Mármol, Aranda, Chadi Riad, Marc Casadó, Pablo Torre and Arnau Tenas.

The procedure included revisions of body composition, podiatric examinations, echocardiograms and others.

Training starts this evening

The players will be due back at the Ciutat Esportiva later this day for their first session on the pitch.

They’ll be back on Tuesday and Thursday for double morning and evening sessions, while on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday there will be just one workout, and then they’ll take a break on Sunday.
