UCAM Murcia 1-2 Barcelona B: Winning end to the season
Barça B have ended the season in fine fashion with a 2-1 win at UCAM Murcia in a game that ended in thrilling fashion as the home side looked to have secured an equaliser right at the end but the reserves refused to let their heads drop and replied at the other end with a goal to claim the win.
Ez Abde, scorer of the first goal, was the most active man of the night in the Catalan attack. His goal after 20 minutes, in which he beat three men before firing an unstoppable shot home, was quite stunning.
Young goalkeeper Àlex Ruiz also impressed on the night of his debut, showing plenty of personality and making some splendid saves.
Barça B controlled the game throughout, with Rodado proving to be the perfect partner for Ez Abde up front, with no end of top moves created between the two.
But all that good work looked to be going nowhere when Gabri Jimeno struck with two minutes to go. But Barça B had the last say right on the buzzer when Nils Mortimer struck the net with a beautifully crafted strike from outside the area to lay claim to the full three points.
