Eric Garcia says it will be 'different' in front of fans at Camp Nou
The Barça defender Eric Garcia appeared before the press on Wednesday ahead of Barça's game against Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday at 9pm CEST at Camp Nou. The blaugrana defender admitted that the team "are in good form and are looking forward to Thursday and another great European night in front of our fans."
Asked about a possible plan for the game, Garcia said it depends on their German opponents: "From what we saw in the first leg and what they do in the Bundesliga, I think they will play in a similar way. We are ready and we will see tomorrow." The defender also mentioned the team's current excellent run of results. "We have improved a lot. Against Levante we battled until the end. In Frankfurt it was more difficult than we hoped but we are excited. Let's hope Camp Nou is full," added the centre back.
About a possible return for Gerard Piqué, his team was hopeful: "He has trained with the squad and let's hope he can be with us. He is one of the best centre backs in history and we hope he can help us as he is very important on and off the field."
Garcia also had words for Ronald Araujo: "He has shown over the last 18 months that he is an animal. He's the perfect defender for Barça because he allows us to push up."
Finally, the defender mentioned the Xavi effect: "The togetherness he has brought to the team has been really important. From the beginning he explained to us his ideas and we are with him. We have had two tricky games but the solutions he brings are very important for us."
