Huge games in April
A fabulous month of March has come to an end at FC Barcelona that’s included two 4-0 wins against Osasuna and Real Madrid and qualification for the quarter finals of the Europa League.
So what has April got in store for us? Quite a lot as it happens…
All times Central European Summer Time
Sunday 3 at 9.00pm: Barça v Sevilla (Liga)
The first game back after the international break is a biggie. Barça take on the side in second place, who they could match on 57 points with a win – and they still have a game in hand!
Thursday 7 at 9.00pm: Eintracht Frankfurt v Barça (Europa League)
Straight after that comes the Europa League quarter final at Deutsche Bank Park, which will be Barça’s first ever competitive game against the Bundesliga side.
Sunday 10 at 9.00pm: Levante v Barça (Liga)
The league campaign continues with a trip to the side currently propping up the table. In theory this should be a routine win, but Levante are fighting hard to keep their survival chances alive.
Thursday 14 at 9.00pm: Barça v Eintracht Frankfurt (Europa League)
The second leg of the duel for a place in the semi-finals against either Olympique Lyonnais or West Ham.
Monday 18 at 9.00pm: Barça v Cádiz
The Andalusians have taken points off Barça in their last three meetings. Surely it’s not going to happen again?
Thursday 21 at 9.30pm: Real Sociedad v Barça
Real Sociedad are battling for European places and at least on paper, this is one of the trickiest away trips of the season.
Sunday 24 at 9.00pm: Barça v Rayo Vallecano
The month ends with this rescheduled fixture, taking place on the same weekend as the Copa del Rey Final.
