Claudia Pina and Alexia Putellas ensured the score reflected Barça's superiority to seal a place in the Copa de la Reina semi-finals

Not even the incessant rain in San Sebastián could dampen the spirits. After celebrating the league title on Sunday, Barça booked their place in the Copa de la Reina semi-finals. The 0-3 in Donosti against Real Sociedad further extended their winning record this season too. Alexia Putellas got a quality brace after Claudia Pina had opened the scoring, ensuring Barça Women are in the Copa semi-final for the 14th season in a row.

Attritional first half...

After receiving a guard of honour from Real Sociedad in recognition of the recent league title win, it was soon back to work in this Copa del Reina semi-final. The first goal came quickly, Claudia Pina - playing further forward as the number 9 - headed in a Patri Guijarro cross. The home side didn't let their heads drop. however, and threatened Sandra Paños on the counter on several occasions. Claudia Pina and Graham Hansen also hit the woodwork in a tight first half.

... until Alexia showed her quality

Barça's captain turned the game on its head in a flash. Alexia Putellas again showing why she is the world's best player. First she collected a Pina pass to slot the ball across the goal into the right corner from just inside the area. Just six minutes later, she scored again, this time a rasping left foot drive into the top corner beating Lete in the Real Sociedad goal. The rain continued but Barça kept pushing, with Jennifer Hermoso touching a cross from the left onto the bar.

No time for more, but a strong performance sealed their passage to the Copa de la Reina semi-finals, and extended their winning run now to 32 games. They are simply unstoppable!
