The three stats where FC Barcelona are best

The blaugranes have scored more headers, completed more dribbles and had more of the ball than anyone else in La Liga

FC Barcelona are continuing to improve and climb the table in La Liga as they are now just a point off Champions League qualification. Barça have take 11 points from the last 15 on offer with three wins and two draws with four of those games coming away from home.

Furthermore, the blaugranes are leading the league in three key statistical areas: Xavi Hernández's team are the side who have scored most headers, the team who have completed most dribbles and who have had the greatest possession. Let's have a closer look: 

Most headed goals 

With eight goals Barça have scored more headers than any other team in La Liga. Araujo and Luuk de Jong have two each with Memphis, Piqué, Braithwaite and Jutglà also having scored with their heads. 

Second in the rankings come Osasuna with seven and then Rayo Vallecano, Atlético Madrid and Betis on six. 

A quarter of Barça's 32 league goals have come from headers and in 21 matches the team has already equalled last season's total. In recent times the record for a season in 16 from the 2014/15 campaign. 

Most dribbles completed 

Barça are the team who have attempted most dribbles and who have completed most dribbles. Of the 481 attempted, 274 have been successful (0.57% success). Just behind are Real Madrid on 272 following by Villarreal on 247 and Espanyol on 226. 

The dribbles have been shared out as follows: Frenkie de Jong (37), Abde (34), Memphis y Dest (31), Nico (29), Gavi (24), Sergio Busquets (16), Dembélé (14) ), Coutinho (13), Jordi Alba (6), Demir (5), Araujo and Mingueza (4), Riqui Puig, Ansu Fati, Sergi Roberto, Luuk de Jong y Griezmann (3), Braithwaite, Jutglà y Pedri (2) y Agüero, Ferran Torres, Eric Garcia, Ilias y Lenglet (1).

Most possession 

Finally, FC Barcelona are also the side who have had most possession in the league with an average of 65.22% per game. The top 5 is completed by Sevilla (61.19%), Real Madrid (60.8%), Villarreal (58.8%) and Real Sociedad (54.85%)
