FC Barcelona team with most headed goals in the league
No one can say that FC Barcelona do not use their heads when they play. Xavi Hernández's team lead the league in goals from headers with eight, ahead of Rayo Vallecano and Atlético Madrid. On an individual level Luuk de Jong and Ronald Araujo lead the way with two headed goals each.
Those eight goals put them ahead of Atlético Madrid and Rayo Vallecano on six and then Osasuna, Sevilla, Mallorca, Villarreal and Athletic Club on five.
This season Barça have already scored more headers than in the whole of last season when they managed seven in 38 games.
Luuk de Jong, two games in a row
The Dutch striker is in form at the moment. His goal against Granada, from a delicious cross from Dani Alves, was his second in a row after his effort against Mallorca in the 1-0 win in Son Moix. The Dutchman leads the way along with Ronald Araujo with two goals from headers this season with Jutglà, Memphis, Gerard Piqué and Braithwaite all having scored one each.
