The football U19A and B squads visit the Espai Barça exhibition
The sports teams from FC Barcelona continue to visit the Exhibition on the Espai Barça Referendum situated in the esplanade at Camp Nou in oder to find out more about the redevelopment of the Club's facilities. On Thursday it was the turn of the U19A and B football teams as they received detailed explanations on the subject of the future Camp Nou and Palau Blaugrana ahead of the vote on Sunday 19 December.
The board member responsible for youth football, Joan Soler, accompanied the players in their visit to the exhibition. The coaching staff from both squads were also present led by coaches Òscar López and Ibán Cuadrado. All present listened attentively to the presentation of how the new Camp Nou will look, its impact on the Club's future and how the project to place Barça amongst the European elite in terms of facilities will be financed.
Miki Juanola, U19A captain, said "as a member, a Barça fan and a player it makes me proud to see how the Club is growing, proving itself to be what it is, the best club in the world. It's a pleasure to visit the exhibition and see how people are committed to the Club and see such a stimulating and motivating project."
Juanola continued: "Being a member and a player it is a dream of mine to make my debut for the first team. To be able to do it the redeveloped stadium, this project, would be a dream I hope can come true."
For his part, Toni Caravaca, captain on the U19B side, remarked "this a great project that can give a great future as a Club," agreeing with Juanola that "our dream is to play at Camp Nou, and if that is in the new Camp Nou then that is even more exciting."
Visit from sponsors
Also today, Thursday, various representatives from various sponsors were able to find out more about the project and the facilities that will represent the modernisation of the Club, opening up new opportunities to collaborate with new partners and new resources for the future. The visitors were able to see all the details about the future Camp Nou and the new Palau Blaugrana thanks to an audiovisual simulation that brings to life some of the improvements involved in the project such as the new third tier, and the double VIP ring that will signal new commercial opportunities and the chance to bring in more income.
Final session for members
On Thursday afternoon the sessions that have been carried out for members who wish to know more about the project will come to an end. The session have taken place in person via previous appointment and all six have sold out. For those members who were unable to make it to Camp Nou, there have also been virtual session in Catalan, Spanish and English.
After the visit from the U19 squads and the sponsors, the women's football first team are also scheduled to visit, bringing to an end the round of visits from the Club's teams and other areas to the exhibition which comes to an end on Saturday.
