Barça B 4-0 Sevilla Atlético: First half firepower
That’s five win now for Barça B at the Primera RFEF, and three at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, still with Albert Capellas as manager and with goals from Ilias Akhomach, twice, plus Rodado and Jutglà.
None other than Xavi Hernández was in the stands to check out his youngsters ahead of being revealed as first team boss on Monday.
First half flurry
Barça B took this game by the horns and got off to a flying start thanks to Ilias Akhomach, who converted a Matheus assist after just seven minutes and added another from outside the area after 21.
There was more to come before the break. Rodado fired in an Jutglà assists and just minutes later Jutglà himself met an Aranda corner to make it four.
No more goals
With such a huge lead, the second half lacked the intensity of the first. There were chances, but with the result looking secure, it was more a case of playing out the remaining minutes. Gerard Fernández, Peque', returned after a two-month absence through injury, and Kays Ruiz came on for his debut.
The red card shown to Juanlu fifteen minutes from the end further served to take the bite out of a game that looked totally decided and so Barça B made it to five games without defeat as they look forward to the next challenge, which will be Atlético Sanluqueño
