New digital edition of Revista Barça focuses on young talent

There’s a new edition of REVISTA BARÇA (Barça Magazine) arriving in the inboxes of Barça members today, and the focus this time is on the Dream Teen, a new generation of young, talented players who are not just the future but also the present of a club that is turning more than ever to its famous youth system this season.

There are no fewer than 14 players aged 17 to 22 working under Ronald Koeman, namely Pedri, Ansu Fati, Ronald Araujo, Sergiño Dest, Riqui Puig, Oscar Mingueza, Eric Garcia, Yusuf Demir, Iñaki Peña, Nico González, Arnau Tenas, Alejandro Balde, Gavi and Alex Collado. Most of them graduated from La Masia and have been familiar with the team’s famous style all the way. The magazine examines the meteoric rise of these players and includes a ‘making of’ video of the photo shoot.

They’re all wearing the new urban collection launched by Barça Licensing Management (BLM) and available in Barça Stores.

The issue also zooms in on one player in particular, Pedri, and his spectacular season, in which he set new records for his age and not only starred for Barça but also for Spain both at Euro 2020 and the Tokyo Olympics. 

There are also in-depth pieces on two new Dutch arrivals Memphis Depay and Luuk de Jong. Another articles analyses Koeman’s different attacking options, and naturally there is a section dedicated the unforgettable legacy of the recently departed Leo Messi.

Alexia, Queen of Europe

Alexia Putellas was named European Women’s Footballer of the Year, and in an in-depth interview the Barça captain speaks about not just her own rise but also that of women’s football in general, the challenges ahead for under new coach Jonatan Giráldez and the fact that there are now female residents at La Masia.

There’s also a look at the new kits being worn this season, and how they reflect the club crest, women’s empowerment and young talent’, exploring just a few of the many ways in which Barça is admired worldwide for being More than a Club.

Away from football, there’s also a focus on two new coaches, Antonio Carlos Ortega of the handball team and Jesús Velasco of futsal, on the club’s first female Olympic gold medallist in triple jumper Yulimar Rojas, and a look at the club’s finances following the General Assembly in June and the build-up to the next one on October 17.

Revista Barça is sent to members’ email addresses, but can also be viewed in the Members App and on the club website. The new digital format means it can be enjoyed from any computer, tablet or smartphone and now includes links and audiovisual content, much of which can also be enjoyed by subscribing for free to Barça TV+.
