FC Barcelona Handball team arrive in Jeddah
The Barça handball team are now in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah after a long and arduous flight from Barcelona for the Super Globe tournament.
The blaugranes left the Ciutat Esportiva for their flight to Doha at 10am CEST but with a delay to their journey to Qatar meaning they missed their connection to Jeddah, Carlos Ortega's team were made to wait six hours for the next connecting flight, eventually arriving in the Saudi city at 5.30am local time.
Barça will train at the King Abdullah Sports City Indoor Hall before facing their quarter final clash with Egyptian champions Zamalek on Wednesday at 7.00pm local time.
Should Barça get through the quarter final then they would face either Alnour of Saudi Arabia or EC Pinheiros of Brazil on Thursday at 7.30pm CEST.
The final will be played on Saturday 9 October a 7.30pm CEST.
