FC Barcelona Women, ready to continue their Champions League story

The blaugranes look forward to their opening European fixture of the season on Tuesday 5 October at the Estadi Johan Cruyff against Arsenal

It can be done. Let nobody say otherwise. FC Barcelona Women face the challenge of a new Champions League campaign as holder after a historic season in 2020/21 in Europe. 

The first hurdle to overcome is Arsenal, difficult but not impossible, at the Estadi Johan Cruyff on 5 October at 9pm CEST.

New format, same hopes 

On Tuesday 5 October at the Estadi Johan Cruyff the first ever group stage in the Women's Champions League begins with the top two going through to the quarter finals. The blaugranes begin their campaign against the English with their sights firmly set on repeating last seasons's feats. 

First come Arsenal in the group stage and that game will be followed by games against German side Hoffenheim and Danish team Køge, Barça having to face all three clubs both home and away. The challenge is to make it through to the knock out stages and then to makes Champions League history once again. It can be done.
