Three Barça players called up to the Dutch squad
Three FC Barceiona players have been included in the Holland squad. Ex-Barça coach, Louis van Gaal, called up first team players Frenkie de Jong, Memphis Depay and Luuk de Jong for the upcoming Dutch national team matches.
The Netherlands will play two qualifying matches for the 2022 World Cup, the first on 8 October against Latvia and the second on 11 October against Gibraltar. Let's not forget that the Spanish squad was announced, featuring four Barça players, with Gavi a notable inclusion.
Others selected for European squads
Ter Stegen was called up to the German squad for the games against Romania on 8 October and 11 October against Macedonia. Yusuf Demir was also called up for Austria, who have games against the Faroe Islands (9 October) and Denmark (12 October).
Barça players heading off to America
Ronald Araujo will be with Uruguay for the games against Colombia (7 October), Argentina (10 October) and Brazil (14 October). Sergiño Dest was called up for the U.S.A. for the three matches against Jamaica (7 October), Panama (10 October) and Costa Rica (13 October).
