Barça and Rakuten invite fans again this year to become part of the Camp Nou façade
After the success of last season, FC Barcelona and Rakuten have decided to come together once again to launch the second edition of the campaign, ‘The Big Picture’, in which fans from around the world have the chance to form part of new giant vinyl façade which will decorate Camp Nou this season.
Fans can now send their photographs encouraging the team from now until 17 October (until 23.59h CEST) via a website specially created for the project. With all the images gathered a giant mosaic will be created which also incorporates the image of several first team players and which will used for the façade in the esplanade area.
At a moment in which the easing of health restrictions has allowed fans to gradually return to the stadium, this initiative has a twofold objective: to give a warm welcome to those fans who are able to attend matches at Camp Nou whilst at the same time allowing those who are unable to do so feel a little bit closer to their team.
A temporary covering
During the period in which photographs from all over the world are being collected to create the mosaic, the area of the façade will be covered with a temporary covering featuring Marc ter Stegen, Pedri, Gerad Piqué, Sergio Busquets, Frenkie de Jong and Ansu Fati. The covering will incorporate a QR code that allows the fans inside the ground to access the platform to which they can send their photos.
As such, once the new mosaic is installed at the Camp Nou façade, the fans who have taken part in the initiative will be able to find their photograph via an augmented reality application.
