Memphis making a difference
Memphis has landed on his feet at Camp Nou. After being the standout player of the preseason, the new darling of Culers worldwide continued his spectacular start to the 2021/22 campaign by netting a fine winning goal on Sunday against Getafe (2-1).
In his first competitive appearance for the club, he provided an assist against Real Sociedad and then scored his first official blaugrana to secure a point from a tricky away game at Athletic.
By scoring again in outing three, he has become the first player to be involved in goals in his first three games for the club since Cesc Fàbregas did so in 2011, scoring an amazing three goals and giving four assists in his first three league games after returning to his boyhood club from Arsenal.
Double Dutch
His goal today came off a beautifully delivered pass from Frenkie De Jong. It was the first time two players from Holland had combined to produce a Liga goal since Huntelaar and Robben did so in 2009 for Real Madrid, and the first time it had happened at Barça since January 2004, when Gio Van Bronckhorst provided the assist for Patrick Kluivert.

Sergi Roberto wasting no time
Like Memphis, Sergi Roberto has also scored two goals and given one assist in the season so far. It only took him 99 seconds to find the net today, the earliest goal of the Koeman era.
