23 man squad for trip to Bilbao

Ronald Koeman calls up the same players who figured in the squad against Real Sociedad

First away trip of the season and a tough test in San Mamés against Athletic Club. Marcelino García Toral's team are always tough opponents in their own stadium and the fans will be back at their famous ground for the first time this season after Athletic drew 0-0 away at Elche in their first fixture of the 2021/22 league campaign.

For the game in the Basque Country the Barça coach has called up the following players: Dest, Piqué, R. Araujo, Sergio, Riqui Puig, Griezmann, Memphis, Braithwaite, Neto, R. Last session before Bilbao (20/08/21)

 

On Friday Ronald Koeman's team carried out their final session before Saturday's 10pm CEST kick off in San Mamés. Goalkeeper Marc ter Stegen trained with the group but he has not been given the all clear so does not make the trip to Bilbao.
