Brazil into the final of the Copa América
Reigning Copa América champions Brazil will have the chance to defend their crown after reaching the final once again thanks to a slender 1-0 win over Peru in the semi-finals. Barça's Emerson Royal was an unused substitute in the game that was decided by Lucas Paquetá's first half strike.
After a Lucas Paquetá goal decided their quarter-final against Chile, the script remained the same in the last four of the competition. An excellent pass from Neymar 10 minutes before the break allowed the Olympique Lyonnais midfielder to put the hosts ahead in Rio de Janeiro.
Ricardo Gareca's Peru team came back at Brazil in the second half but the canarinha held on to book their place in the final for the 22nd time in their history.
