Barça Legends back with a Clásico against Real Madrid in Israel
The Barça Legends will be returning to action in a top notch fixture, the Clásico of Spanish football against Real Madrid on Tuesday 20 July at 7.30pm (CEST) in Tel Aviv. The venue will be the 29,400 capacity Bloomfield Stadium.
This will be the first game for the team managed by Albert Ferrer since Covid-19 interrupted sports events in the 2019/20 season. The former Barça stars on show will include Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Deco, Jon Andoni Goikoetxea, Miquel Soler, Guillermo Amor, Gaizka Mendieta, Javier Saviola, Ronald de Boer, Juan Carlos Rodríguez, Frédéric Déhu, Samuel Okunowo and Jesús Mariano Angoy.
The last Barça Legends before lockdown were played in Colombia, on 1 March 2020 at the Estadio Pascual Guerrero, Cali against former Deportivo and America de Cali players, and on 5 March at the Estadio Nemesio Camacho, Bogota against the Colombia Legends. In 2019/20, the team also appeared in a four-team tourney in Sao Paolo on 15 December 2019 that also featured Sao Paolo, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.

The Legends Clásico will be screened live on Barça TV, via the club’s Barça TV+ streaming service (also on-demand).
The game is being played in Israel to coincide with the launch of the worldwide ‘Barça, The Exhibition’, which opens in Tel Aviv in July and will remain open through August, offering a journey through Barça history with interactive experiences such as the chance to enjoy a game at Camp Nou using the latest immersive technologies

The Barça Legends are the result of an FC Barcelona programme to showcase the great players that have worn its famous colours over the years. It is designed to help promote the Barça name and values around the world through its former players, and to enable them to continue playing for the team even after retiring as professionals. The aim is to play games and run parallel events in different places around the world.
