Fifth league title of the season for FC Barcelona

The Barça futsal team are league champions! Andreu Plaza's side have beaten Levante in the play off final in game three at the Palau Blaugrana to claim their fifth league title. 

The 2020/21 season comes to an end with FC Barcelona having claimed league titles in futsal, basketball, roller hockey and women's football. 

First handball

Back in the middle of April the handball sealed the league title with a win over Puente Genil, the 11th in a row for the section and the 28th in their history. 

The first piece in the treble jigsaw 

At the beginning of March the Barça Women football team claimed their sixth league title after a win against Granadilla and Levante's draw against Espanyol. 

Overall, Lluis Cortés' side lost just once in the league during the season, picking up 99 points after winning 33 of 34 games. They added the cup and Champions League titles to claim a historic treble. 

Comeback 

Towards the end of May the Barça roller hockey team beat Mataró to record their eight successive OK league title. After a stuttering start to the season that saw them lag behind Liceo at the half way point, a great finish to the campaign saw Edu Castro's team come from behind to claim the title. 

League champions for the first time in 7 years 

In the middle of June the Barça basketball team celebrate the league title at the Palau for the first time in 7 years. A win against arch rivals Real Madrid in the league play off final handed Saras Jasikevicius' team a well deserved league championship. 

The trophy to round off the season 

Andreu Plaza's team knocked out Inter and Palma in the league play offs before coming up against Levante in the final. The three game play off final went all the way to the wire with Barça winning on penalties in the last of the encounters at the Palau to record their fifth win the competition.
