Barça Women 4-2 Levante: Cup champions!
It had never happened before. FC Barcelona were proclaimed champions of the Copa de la Reina for the eighth time after beating Levante (4-2), and in so doing, have become the first Spanish women's team to achieve the treble of Cup, League and Champions League. Lluís Cortés' side were sublime, majestic and extraordinary. Unique champions!
From the very first second Levante were under constant siege, with Barça, dominating from the beginning. They were intense and energetic throughout, and defensively excellent when faced with sporadic attacks from their opponents.
Three and easy
A header from Patri Guijarro from a corner by Lieke Martens opened the floodgates on five minutes, and the Dutchwoman also assisted Alexia and Torrejó as Barça cruised into a 3-0 lead after just 29 minutes.
Alba Redondo pulled one back early in the second half, before Banini's second gave Levante hope on 67. That was quickly extinguished, however, as Alexia soon made it 4-2. A result that handed Barça Women a new title, and made them legendary treble winners in the process.
