FC Barcelona B 0-0 Cornellà: Out of luck
A year on and the sound from a crowd in the stands finally returned to the Johan Cruyff Stadium. The 987 supporters allowed inside gave great backing to García Pimienta's side as they took the initiative in this match. Álex Collado, Konrad de la Fuente and Peque all went close in the opening exchanges.
Ramón Juan was inspired in the Cornellà goal and, try as they might, the hosts couldn't find the net.
Iñaki Peña to the rescue
The pattern continued throughout the second half, but right at the end Barça B were indebted to their own custodian, Iñaki Peña. Cornellà sub, Max, had only been on the field for a few minutes, but scampered through the midfield in injury time and unleashed a ferocious drive that Iñaki Peña just managed to get a right hand to in order to preserve the 0-0.
A point keeps Barça B in second place in the table, which still ensures that, heading into the final match against Badalona, García Pimienta's side will fight for promotion to the Second Division A.
