Barcelona, 1964. Cubells is a graduate in Law from the University of Barcelona. A lawyer with more than 25 years of professional experience, he is a founding partner of the Iuris Grup Advocats, former president of finance at the University of Barcelona, member of the procedure section of Barcelona Bar Association, a member of the of the Tribunal for Sporting Arbitration in Catalonia and also holds a Masters in international business. 

He was a director at FC Barcelona between 2003 and 2010 and secretary of the Board between 2008 and 2010.
