Ronald Araujo living the moment
Ronald Araujo, a key member of the back four in Ronald Koeman's team, spoke on Friday about his debut season with the first team squad and the shape the team finds itself in at the moment. The Uruguayan, who made his debut for the first team last season as a Barça B player, admitted to being happy to have made it past Cornellà in the Copa del Rey: "I have played there on many times and I knew it would be a difficult away trip. We could have sewn the game up earlier but the main thing was to win."
With regards to his contribution this season, the defender said: "I am working hard to have chances and I am happy to take advantage of them, and that they have confidence in me, that I can play and help the team. A player who is playing is always happy. Things are going well but I have to keep working as there is still a lot to learn and experience to pick up."
On the squad itself, Araujo had this to day: "The squad that we have is very good, it's a good group. Since my arrival they have helped me." With regards to recent performances, the Uruguayan added: "We are committing mistakes that we should not commit. The defenders talk a lot between themselves and with the coach and working hard we know the results will come. We will put up a fight in the league."

Araujo is having a good seasons in his first campaign with the first team. The Uruguayan defender has made 15 appearances, 13 of them as a starter. He has impressed with his complete performances, his defensive solidity and his ability to bring the ball out from the back and his contribution in attack in particular.
