Eight away games in a row!
January is approaching an end, and FC Barcelona are still to set foot in the Camp Nou in 2021. They will not do so until 31 January, when they meet Athletic Club in their ninth fixture of the month.
It is an unprecedented run of games in club history. The first team have never had a run of eight consecutive away games before. Their current calendar has seen them travel to take on Huesca (LaLiga), Athletic Club (LaLiga), Granada (LaLiga), Real Sociedad (semifinal of the Super Cup, in Córdoba), Athletic Club (final of the Super Cup, in Seville) and Cornellà (Copa del Rey), with matches against Elche (LaLiga) and Rayo Vallecano (Copa del Rey) on the way in the coming week.
Four-in-a-row the previous record
This new record is by far the longest run of away games in club history. Previously, Barça have played four consecutive away fixtures on two occasions:

- 16 January. Getafe vs. Barça (0-2, Copa del Rey)
- 19 January. Levante vs. Barça (1-1, LaLiga)
- 22 January. Levante vs. Barça (1-4, Copa del Rey)
2019
- 19 February. Lyon vs. Barça (0-0, Champions League)
- 23 February. Sevilla vs. Barça (2-4, LaLiga)
- 27 February. Madrid vs. Barça (0-3, Copa del Rey)
- 2 March. Real Madrid vs. Barça (0-1, LaLiga)
