The squad for the Spanish Super Cup
La Liga takes a back seat this week with the Spanish Super Cup on the horizon. Barça face Real Sociedad in the semi-finals on Wednesday, kick off 9.00pm CET at the Nuevo Arcángel stadium in Córdoba, the second meeting between the clubs in less than a month after the blaugranes 2-1 victory at Camp Nou in La Liga in December.
Coach Ronald Koeman named his 21 man squad for the game with Clément Lenglet returning after missing the win at Granada on Sunday due to suspension. The full list is as follows:
Ter Stegen, Dest, R. Araujo, Sergio, Griezmann, Pjanic, Braithwaite, Messi, O. Dembélé, Riqui Puig, Neto, Lenglet, Pedri, Trincao, Jordi Alba, F. De Jong, Umititi, Junior, Iñaki Peña, Ilaix and O. Mingueza. Piqué, Coutinho, S. Roberto and Ansu Fati are all still out due to injury.
Final session at the Ciutat Esportiva
On Monday the squad worked out for the final time before heading for Córdoba with all the available first team players present plus Ilaix, Mingueza and Konrad from Barça B.
