10 years of Sergi Roberto
10 November 2010 is a day that Sergi Roberto will never forget. Barça were playing in the Copa del Rey against Ceuta at the Camp Nou when he came on for Maxwell in the 65th minute. It was the first time the 18 year old, wearing the number 28 on his back, had played first team football, in a game that the Catalans went on to win 5-1.
Ten years later and he now a regular part of the team, the fourth captain no less, having helped Barça to 22 different major titles, including five Ligas, two Champions Leagues and five Copas del Rey.
He has played 293 games in that time, scoring 10 goals, the most famous of which is undoubtedly the one that sealed the remarkable 6-1 comeback against PSG at Camp Nou. The goal, and the celebrations that followed, are now a part of the club folklore.
