A free-scoring Dembélé
Ousmane Dembélé has really hit a purple patch this season, scoring three goals in Barça's last six games. He is now fully recovered from the injury to the proximal tendon of the biceps femoris of his right thigh, which sidelined him for 192 days last season, and against Betis, for example, he was a key player. The No.11 opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with a powerful shot after cutting inside Álex Moreno to make space before firing home.
He had already done so against Juventus, in the second match of the group stage of the Champions League, and against Ferencváros, Dembélé scored the final goal in the 5-1 victory.
With the goal he scored against Betis, Dembélé had found the net in the league for the first time since October 6, 2019, against Sevilla. In total, the Frenchman has 22 goals in 82 games for Barça. His best goalscoring season was 2018/19, when he managed 14 goals in 42 games. Numbers that he'll hope to surpass this season.
