Gerard Piqué, second highest goalscoring defender in the Champions League
Gerard Piqué knows how to find the net in the Champions League. On Wednesday against Dynamo Kyiv he added another goal to his collection when he made it 2-0 in the 65th minute. The Barça defender now has 15 goals in Europe's top club competition, level with former Real Madrid man Iván Helguera and just a goal behind all time leader, Brazilian Robert Carlos. The Barça man has moved ahead of Sergio Ramos who has 14 with former blaugrana Dani Alves in fifth place on the list on five goals. Piqué's favourite victims are Roma (3) and Dynamo Kyiv and Internazionale (2).
Blaugrana dominance
In the list of Barça defender, Piqué comes top with 13 having scored twice in the competition in his days as a Manchester United player. Following behind come Ronald Koeman, Frank de Boer and Dani Alves on five. Piqué first ever goal in the competition came for Manchester United in the 2007/08 season, getting the first in a 4-0 win over none other than Dynamo Kyiv.
