Culers to symbolically attend game at Camp Nou against Atlético Madrid
Today June 30, Barça take on third placed Atlético Madrid with just six Liga fixtures left to play. This is unquestionably one of the biggest games left for this final stretch of the season, and the players aren’t going to be alone. Thanks to the ‘We All Play’ campaign, 3,000 fans will be able to symbolically ‘enter’ the stadium in the form of personalised shirts laid out in the terraces.
The campaign has involved fans and members from different countries around the world being offered the chance to buy, and personalise with their chosen name, a special edition of the 2019/20 home kit featuring the ‘We All Play’ patch.
FC Barcelona has organised the activity in order fan wanting to be in the stadium to do so, albeit in a different way, during this final stage of the Liga season that’s being played behind closed doors due to the Covid-19 crisis. The shirts have been placed over the seats in the first tier stands in the Lateral, North Goal and South Goal zones order to welcome the players onto the pitch. Precisely because of Covid-19 security measures, shirts that were purchased beforehand cannot be taken into the ground.
The club is donating a part of the proceeds to charity, specifically projects to fight the spread of the coronavirus, as channelled through the Barça Foundation
Once the game is over, the shirts will be cleaned and disinfected and sent over the course of the following days to the fans’ home addresses. They will also be emailed a link to a gygaphoto in which they will be able to locate their shirt in the ground as a souvenir of their testimonial ‘attendance’ of the match.
