Niko Mirotic, MVP Movistar Endesa League 2019/20
Nikola Mirotic has been named MVP Movistar for the 2019/20 Endesa League thanks to votes from the coaches, players, fans and press. The 29 year old Montenegrin power forward has had a sensational season with Barça in domestic competition with the highest rating in the ACB with 19.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and a 24 match valuation.
The Barça number 33 has put in some tremendous performances such as that on his debut against Obradoiro in which he scored 27 points in 27 minutes for a 39 rating. His best game of the season came against Valencia Basket at the Palau Blaugrana when he scored 33 points for a match rating of 42.
Second blaugrana MVP
In his 23 games, Mirotic has never scored less than 11 points and he becomes just the second Barça player in Endesa League history to be named MVP after Juan Carlos Navarro in the 2005/06 season.
It is also the second time that Mirotic has won the award in the Endesa League as in the season 2012/13 the power forward was named player of the season when at Real Madrid. In 2014 Mirotic left for the NBA where he played for five seasons before heading to Barcelona in July 2019.
